
Stoke your metabolism BEFORE Christmas, don’t wait till January
We all know about the New Year resolutions. Promises made to yourself to finally get into shape, but are you leaving it too late?
Think of your body as an engine.
When you look after an engine, it runs better. Given the right care and attention, an engine runs more efficiently. If you abuse an engine, let it go long periods without maintenance. It’ll do the opposite.
So it stands to reason that Christmas, with all its ‘bad fuel’ on offer, will have a bad effect on your engine, so upgrade it now…
Rather than waiting until your engine has been run ragged, give it a ‘turbo boost’ beforehand so it can clear the bad fuel more efficiently.
What to do…
That means getting some cardiovascular exercise done in the lead up to Christmas, boosting your metabolism with a few weeks of heart raising efforts, 30-40 minute pure cardio workouts 3-4 times a week at least. It’ll make your body burn fuel more easily, and if there’s one time of year to hit the metabolism, it’s right now.
So from now on, don’t bother with New Years Resolutions (leave them for the pretenders). Make fitness your priority, not your burden. Think of Christmas as something that you have to be prepared for, just like your turkey.
